Clean pjs every day - why? I take it everyone is nicely clean every day.

You wear them as long as you wear your pants and you wouldn't wear those 2 or 3 days.

During the night you itch your bottom, sweat more and may part with a few bits of excretia, plus if there is someone else in the bed you may have their sweat and dribble too. My OH boils at night and insists on laying really close to boil me too, which means on occasion I have had cause to change my nightwear during the night and shove him back to his side of the bed.. I would not want to wear anything on my naked personal parts more than once.. dried sweaty nightwear on my nethers is not a thought I relish.

A shower before bed does not stop you sweating at night or having normal bodily secretions.

The children dribble breakfast on theirs which is far preferable to their school uniform, I have a bedwetter and they are all just a bit grotty, though the younger ones have taken to wearing pj's under their onesies and rewearing the onesies.. it really isn't that cold!

It pees me right off when you find still folded stuff in the wash basket because they couldn't be bothered to put it away.. that goes straight back up!

  • Washing and paperwork are the two things that stop my home being tidy!
We are also a family if six with three school age children. I do the washing but it doesn't always get put away. All four of my children are in the same room so only have small area for storing their clothes (they each have a wardrobe with a couple of drawers). I rarely iron unless its really necessary but as I am in a flat, I have to dry indoors. I try and put a load on at night and hang when I get up. I put another load in and set the timer to have it ready for evening by which time the other clothes are (hopefully) dry. I use an extra spin (mine is 1200) which helps dry quicker. Woollies are left til last. I have two baskets which the kids are supposed to use but I sort thru it each day. I don't have a massive amount of clothes which actually bothers me but they grow out of them so quickly and we don't have the space some try and be practical.
I hope you find your way though. Xx

I know washing at night is the only option for some people, but pelase be careful leaving your machines on when you're asleep. Mine broke not long before Christmas, after it had finished a load. It went nutty and started to smoke due to a fault. If I hadn't of been there I'm quite sure it would have started a fire

Only the kids wear pyjamas in this household :o so I guess that's one way of keeping the washing down. Haven't noticed my DH dribbling on me in the night though :D
