help needed over seperation problems money etc

first time at this so here goes

my wife left our home taking our 2 children with her in march 2012 . she had a large amount of money left from her late mother so she moved into a rented house .i currently have the children 3 evenings per week . the problem is that we had a lot of loans left which unfortunatly were in my name because she was self employed and could not get a loan . my wife has not paid anything into our home for 2 years i have been paying all the mortgage payments , bills etc , . the problem is the loans, she says that the loans are in my name so its not her problem and is not willing to contribube to these . i have been paying child maintainence direct to my wife i got the figure of the csa website and have never missed a payment . my wife has now informed me that im going to have to pay the kids child care costs for 2 days a week because she has re jigged her hours at work and its not her problem anymore . thing are really taking a strain now both mentally and financially . can anyone give me some good information as to were i stand with the law

thanks rob

Sorry but you really need to talk to a solicitor and to start divorce proceeding sharpish. YOu can do the divorce paperwork your self (costs £380) but you need a solicitor fot eh financial settlement and clean break order.

    1. You will be entitled to part of her inheritance, which might well pay off the debts? Get a copy of the probate detials from the Probate regsitry

    2. If there is any equity in the house, this will be split between you. Given the current situation, it will be better to get a clean break.

    3. You have deducted CSA for the days when the children stay with you? 3/7ths by the sounds of it?

    4. I hope she is not claiming CTC for the child care costs??
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing
