Hi

I am currently claiming tax credits for my daughter who is 18 and attending a local college. Her college course was for 2 years, and she started in September 2012 but she is thinking of leaving and starting a job, if she does I know tax credits will stop but will I have to pay the money back that the they gave me while she was in college because she did not complete the course?

I would appreciate any advise

You wouldn't have to repay any tax credits that were paid for the time she was still in college.

No. Once she leaves college the payments would stop but you wouldn't have to pay back anything that has been paid up to the date she leaves her course.
