EDF con?

Has anyone noticed that EDF increases their tariff half way through a charging period and then estimates your usage for the day it changed? As it happens I am taking daily readings as I have solar panels and my readings for the 11th Dec when the price rose were 14 units higher - not much, only pence difference, but how many customers does EDF have? a tidy sum for them! They could easily coincide the increase with the day our meters are read.

Is this for real? Can you imagine the day they announce the increase
'EDF customers will see a rise of % some time in the next 3 months......'
So some customers will see a price rise 1 week and then some customers will see it 11 weeks later. Sounds fair to me.
And then what if they aren't able to read the meters? No price rise?0 -
I guess they could advise customers to read their meters on (or close to) the day the tariff changes.0
