Peugeot Partner - Door Locks

I have a six year old peugeot partner van, owned by me since new Dec 2006. During recent months the lock on the drivers door has become harder and harder to lock or unlock. The key has been going further and further in before turning, now it is virtually impossible to lock or unlock from the outside.

Anyone else had this issue?

Any suggested cures?
(Before I get stung by the dealer to repair!)

Hi, i had a problem with my car lock recently. Someone suggested i try wd40 or some grease in the lock to see if that helps. Didn't help my lock but i think that was because it had been tampered with so was damaged but might be worth you trying that. Or get a local locksmith to take a look at the lock as it may be something simple that can be repaired. I ended up getting a new lock from the dealer for £160.

Fit a new lock. Or get a locksmith to fit a new lock. They can make them to match your existing key so you dont have to carry a bunch of them.

Try not pushing the key so far in.

the pug citroen partner berlingo suffer with lock problems to the point the just wont work anymore and a new custom lock can be installed via a locksmith.
