What are my rights?
We switched from EON to British Gas in March 2012 as they could reduce our DD payment from £140 per mth to £120 per mth. Unfortunately they didn't set up the DD and we didn't notice! It was July before it was resolved, they agreed a new DD of £180 a month to catch up, but then put it up to £212 (sept) the following month as the tariff rate had increased, at this point I realised we were on a standard tariff and it was actually more expensive than the online saver 10 we had been on with EON. Over the phone I agreed to an Eroneous transfer and to cancel my DD. I have written to them and explained my financial position and my concerns about the above wrong decisions. They have acknowledge they have made errors and asked me what outcome I would like from the complaint, I have said I want to be in the same position I was before switching, with no energy debt and a low cost tariff, But am I entitled to this??? What are my rights? I have read the ombudsman services and the site states it helps when you and the energy company cannot come to an amicable solution. Who do I ask for advice???

I'm not sure how this would fall under an erroneous transfer, especially as it was so long ago and you have been paying the new supplier.
However, if that is what is agreed, then your supply will be returned to your previous supplier.0 -
A few questions may help clear things up.
How did you switch?
What tariff were you offered when you switched?
-Were you put on this tariff? Does/did it have an end date?
When does/did E.ON's online saver 10 end?
If an E/T has been agreed, you will need to pay E.ON for the energy you have used in the mean time - it will be up to them to put you on the appropriate tariff.
If they have agreed to the E/T it looks like they are trying to do what you asked (put you back with E.ON) - is there something more you were looking for?0
