Roman Blinds

I have a bay window (6 sides), that I was considering roman blinds for.
I've had one quote which talked about an "articulated rail", and (I think) only had one cord for each of three sets. I couldn't visualise that, though.
I had only envisaged 6 separately operated blinds, when asking for the quote. I will ask the person who quoted, but wondered if anyone had experience of such matters?

I'm having quotes for exactly the same! I will have 6 separate blinds so I can pull one at a time down when the sun moves round. Do you mind me asking what your quote was roughly?
