I have been trying to book a room online at travelodge. When i try to pay it keeps saying that the issue number of my credit card is either invalid or not entered.(not true) I have checked 100`s of times and am really desperate as i need to book this room today. Any ideas any-one? Replies gratefully received.:) number

most cards don't have an issue number anymore so they ask for the security number on the back of your card, 3 digits at the end of the number on back of your card0

Its asking for both, which i have put in.just cant understand why its not processing the payment as all details are complete.I have also tried leaving out the issue/security number. Nothing is working.

hmmmm difficult without having it infront of me. not something silly like you need a "0" before a digit. eg. 06 instead of just 6. just taking pot shots now lol0

Tried all that. I am also taking potshots with it and have entered different issue numbers even though i know mine is correct, in case it worked. Thanks for advising. I will have another go later or ring them and see if they can take payment over the phone.“Love yourself first and everything else falls into line. I've just logged on to have a nosey and for credit card payments you just need to select either visa or mastercard, credit card number then expiry date and the 3 digit security number.
It's defo only for switch or maestro that you need the other info and as someone has already said credit cards don't have issue numbers.
Do you have a Visa Electron card by any chance?ITV Winners Club #87 :eek:0 -

If it's a maestro card then that isn't a credit card, it's a debit card which comes out of your current account. It may be that you are clicking on the wrong card type then. If you are clicking on credit card (VISA) then it will be the wrong option.
Visa's can be a bit confusing as they can be both debit and credit cards, I can only suggest trying the maestro option instead.ITV Winners Club #87 :eek:0
