Can no longer afford trust deed payments!

I haven't been able to pay the last 2 months.
My hours at work were cut from 35 to 16 and yes stupidly I have been avoiding talking to the trust deed providers.
My income is minus without the trust deed, to top it all im 5 months pregnant and going to be off on maternity leave soon with even less money coming in.

I am going to go and copy all bank/wage stuff and send it to them today. I had emailed them previously but no response but it turns out the person who was dealing with my trust deed no longer works there, so I don't think they got the info.

I do qualify for a LILA but don't know if they will discharge me as they were quite aggressive on the phone the last time I spoke to them which is why i've been avoiding their calls.

Any advice?

    Hello there,

The first port of call would be to try and speak with the firm that are running your Trust Deed. It's important to bear in mind that, as your appointed trustee, they have a duty of care to undertake their work to a professional standard. If you feel that they are not doing so you should consider going through their complaints procedure, it's best to do this in writing. If you cannot resolve the issue with them directly the trustee should be a member of a professional body that you may be able to complain to. You can also complain directly to the Accountant in Bankruptcy.

We've written a fact sheet on Bankruptcy, including information about LILA; you can find it here:

If you have any further queries please post them up, we'll do our best to help!

    Best wishes,
