N case you did not know you can now have your ashes made into things.

a programme on the telly recently featured a lady having a tattoo of her late husband done on her leg where some of his cremated ashes were mixed in with the ink "so that he could be with her forever".....

I think the key is to do the research and make sure those that will be involved know how to deal with it.

    Even consdier a trial run.

Don't do what the guy on the TV prog did and practice very regularly.
(will try to see if it is on catchup it was in the last week or so )

edit : same as the one above that did the tattoo

Don't get me wrong, I'd like to remember my OH, I just don't want him implanted into my skin. _pale_

It really doesn't matter how you want your remains to be disposed of, those with responsibility for your disposal can choose differently.
.................:)....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)
  • The bit about funerals I personally have never liked, is the embarrassment, over the wake or meeting after the committal ceremony,

This is a tradition of a by gone era, more in keeping with Victorian values ,

Lets face it with this generation bristling with modern technology, do we need to go through this.

It is like vultures circling looking for a free meal. Yet more worry for the remaining family, in hard up times,

If however, it was declared before the committal by the undertaker, any one wishing to attend for a wake, will be asked to pay for their own refreshment, I think the practise would soon peter out.

    Just a thought

I LOVE those bookcase coffins. when we downsize (and hopefully get rid of a few 000 books) I shall persuade DH to buy two. But if he goes first I may not wish to part with it! :rotfl:

There was a fly on the wall type documentary on Tv late last year at several funeral companies.
There must be a joke in there somewhere.
You might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'
