Child savings

I have just received a cheque for £4000 from LV f or a 10 year savings plan I invested in for my child. I want to reinvest this and pay additional monthly contributions into the fund. My child is 11 so I would like to save in this plan until she needs the money for uni or a car etc. I am a higher rate tax payer. Hope I have provided enough information for some investment advice. Can anyone advise of a plan or savings account that would suit my situation please.
