~~H~~_4
I had a microfibre cloth a couple of years ago that my DH nicked to use in his car, & Ive just reclaimed it. I had forgotten how good they are, & now realise that these are the cloths I need to buy, instead of the rubbish I have been using.
I would like to buy a few in different colours if I can, so I can easily identify which one is for the toilet, kitchen, etc, so any advice on the best place to buy them would be much appreciated.
I live in walking distance of a small Asda, & within easy driving distance of Tesco, Wilkinsons, Lidl, Sainsburys, Co-op, & I believe theres a Poundstretcher somewhere nearby too.
Thanks in advance.

Tesco do a good one for 99p. Avoid the value 3 for 99p since they are rubbish. ASDA used to do a good thick (sort of doubled over) one for the kitchen - it was expensive if I remember right, around £3 but i'm using it a year later and it's still fine. I think the tesco ones are in different colours - know what you mean, I wouldn't want kitchen and bathroom ones getting muddled either.
I do think it's worth spending a bit to get good ones, they hardly ever need replaced.0 -
This is why I only have 2. One for the floors and one for the bathroom. It's not a disaster if they get mixed up but I wouldn't want to accidentally use them on the worktops! Morrisons near us only do blue ones. I've been looking out for some white ones.May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0

Hi, I've bought several batches of microfibre cloths from a guy on Ebay. They are really good quality, can be washed at 90 degrees (with a little powder, no conditioner of course), unlike some of the cheaper ones which can only be washed at 50 or 60 degrees.
I've had blue, dark pink and yellow from him, and I would NOT recommend the yellow, they go a yukky brown colour. The other two colours have been fine.
He sells them in packs of 10 for £9.88 plus £1.75 P&P. The more you buy, the cheaper they are. I don't know whether he will mix colours, but I guess there's no harm in asking him.

The reason I bought so many cloths (I have 30 now) was that I like to have a fresh cloth for the kitchen and a fresh cloth for the bathroom each day, I use two when I'm cleaning windows, and two or three on the go when I'm doing the rest of the cleaning. I also like different colours for different jobs. I then do one wash a week of microfibre cloths, 90 degrees, which also gives my WM a good clean.0 -
Poundland do a pack of 4 different coloured ones for £1, and they are fabulous...Morrisons also sell them individually for 69p and they are yellow. If you obey all the rules...you miss all the fun!! Katherine Hepburn0

Know its not a shop you mentioned near you but Aldi do a 2 pack for about £1.30, very good quality, nice and fluffy - I use them for dusting. I brought an 'E-cloth' a while ago for a lot more money for one and I think those are better quality.
Just been flicking through MIL's copy of Good Housekeeping and its suggested in there to wash them in the dishwasher during the cycle - has anyone tired this? Also says you can clean them by putting a wet one in the mircowave but doesn't say a time. If anyone has tired this please let me know as I don't always do a hot wash but want them to be clean. The Poundland ones get my vote as well. I have had mine for well over a year and they are still as good as new.
It is also handy they are 4 different colours0 -
The ones they sell in my local post office are great & cheap - they even do a sponge wrapped in microfibre in a pack with a large cloth for 99p & in a lovely range of colours. I was so impressed with it I bought one for my dd to use in her new flat! I could buy some & post out to peeps if you would like....I THINK is a whole sentence, not a replacement for I KnowSupermarket Rebel No 19:T0

Right, so Tesco is ok (though not value ones) ... Asda more expensive, but good ... Ebay, hadnt thought of that, but dont want to buy that many really ... Aldi, I can get to an Aldi, though its not that close ... Poundland sounds good with 4 diff colours, but not sure where to find one, unless they are the same as PoundStretcher.
Thanks for all your help, folks, I shall go on a microfibre hunt tomorrow, when DH takes the kids out.
