IVA Help after seperation

Hello,

My father wife has recently had an affair and left the family home (Council tenancy for over 30 years) they were married for about 14yrs. They were paying a £1000 a month IVA back with about 9 months left to pay. She had agreed as the 'bread winner' earning over £2k a month to carry on paying this back in full as my father, who is 69, only works part time and earns less than £700 monthly and would not be able to afford to live here.

She has sent threatening emails referring to refusing to pay the whole amount and speaking to the council about her leaving. I assume she wants to get us kicked out. the IVA is based on what is earned. what rights and what would my father have to pay considering she left of her own accord, they are still married and he only earns £700 a month. he has rent etc... to pay,

Any help would be great as these threats are not helping

thanks
