Italian restaurant in central Manchester

We are staying in the centre of Manchester and looking for a nice non-chain Italian, can anyone recommend a really good one?

Giorgios at the junction of Oxford St and Portland St was very good last time we visited .....

I wasn't impressed with Rosso.

San Carlo is better, its a chain but only a small chain!
