I think the answer is no, but can anyone fine an English (not american) spell checker for Chrome?

Open Chrome.
Go into a field on a page that would allow you to type in it (eg the quick reply box on here).
Right click.
Spell checker options.
Language settings.
Click add.
Select English (UK).
It should now be added in your list.
Click the X next to the English (US) to remove it.
Should now be fine.
Or
Open Chrome.
Go to menu in Chrome (button to right of address bar).
Settings.
Show advanced settings.
Languages.
Languages and spell check settings.
Click add.
Select English (UK).
It should now be added in your list.
Click the X next to the English (US) to remove it.
Should now be fine.0 -
Thanks, but both the above options take me to the same place where it says for UK English
Google Chrome cannot be displayed in this language
This language cannot be used for spell checking
and there is *no* option to delete the american 'language'
Also, each time I delete the UK, it comes back again!!! :cool:0 -
Does it let you select English (UK) and add it? You can then drag it above the English that is already there to make it your first preference. It's only English - with no national variations - that it won't use for a spell check on mine.0

Go to - chrome://settings/languages (in your advance settings).
Where you see English (American) selected, click on the Add tab.
Scroll down languages until you see English (United Kingdom) and select.
Spelling will now be set in Chrome to English (UK).:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A
"Marleyboy you are a legend!"
MarleyBoy "You are the Greatest"
Marleyboy You Are A Legend!
Marleyboy speaks sense
marleyboy (total legend)
Marleyboy - You are, indeed, a legend.0 -
