painting our bedroom

Hi all.

Few questions. Have just finished stripping 1 of our bedrooms as we need a space to move our stuff while the rest of the house is being demolished!!!!!!!!!!!!! or so it seems.

Have paper free ceiling with a few cracks where plaster board has cracekd. Walls have a layer of paper on still but was going to leave it on. Fill in gaps and holes with easi fill (b&q), sand and then line with paper.

Then going to paint on top just a neutral colour.

Should i sand the ceiling? What paint should i use? Satin? Dulux?

What paint for the walls? Dulux trade?? should i always thin down the paint? Im a pad fan but should i use a rolelr? Do i paint ceiling first? Undercoats? what brushes? Harris?

Thanks in advance,
