Waitrose once delivered the shopping despite lack of payment due to a bank glitch and took the money two days later.
Ocado driver told me that Ocado takes it after the shopping is delivered because of needing to adjust subs - seems weird to me.
It can take a few hours to debit after Ocado delivers. In their terms they mention about fees/recovery should your payment bounce. (£1 pre-auth)
Sainsbury have only ever debited me once picked, no pre-authorisations.
Tesco - reserve £2 and debit my card when shopping picked. (£2 gets released a week later from order date)0
