Stopping claiming Working tax credits ...

Hi,
Currently my partner and I do not live together, I am staying with friends at the moment although I spend the odd night at my mums and at bf's parents house (once a week max).
My partner is in receipt of working tax credits and earns approx £11,700 pa. I am self employed and for this tax year (April 2012-2013) I will have made no more than £5000 maximum. As of April this year I will be moving in and living with my partner at his parents address however I will also be going back to full time employment earning £12,000 (or there abouts) and £3500 from my self employment..
He didn't have a joint claim going as we haven't been living together and are no way involved in each others finances.
What is the best thing to do going forward? I know he will still be entitled to claim until April but how do we go about cancelling? I have read so many horror stories ...
Thanks

2 options - ring them up when you move in with him or write a letter to them. Personally I'd do both and keep a record of who you speak to and on what date and time and also a copy of the letter. That way you'll have proof that you told them.0

Blondebubbles I am not moving in until April so surely he doesn't need to call until then?0 -
Thanks very much for the info... Also I guess you mean they would need my income details for 2012-2013 and an estimate for 2013-2014?0
