Asda coupon acceptance policy

My ASDA now has notices on the till for the SA to read saying only accept coupon if the item is brought. They used to accept 10% but not now they are currently all sticking to only if you have brought the product and checking the till roll to see!The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0

I emailed asda re: coupon acceptance and this was there reply
Thank you for taking the time to contact us in connection with our coupon acceptance policy
I was sorry to learn you had been given different variations of the policy this creates a poor impression of asda and i hope you wil accept my apologies for any inconvience
Now the interesting bit.........
We accept any manufacturer's coupon or voucher as long as it is used in accordance with the terms and conditions specified on them
There is no limit on the number or amount of coupons or vouchers a customer can use per transaction, nor on the value of the transaction must amount to, although we are unable to offer any change from vouchers
As long as the product on the voucher is sold by asda, it is not necessary to purchase that particular product and we will take the amount off the total bill,
i hope this explains our policy
So now i carry this email around with me, and i've had no problems since! :j
Hope this helps!0 -

would you mind forwarding this or providing the e-mail addy of who it came from (by pm of course!) i e-mailed them ages ago and got a very very vauge reply, when i explained i wanted their official policy to 'show' in store if needed, they never responded.....very evasive, and my local store tell me they don't take any vouchers unless you've bought the product
xxDon’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it.
Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.0 -
