UC and periods overseas

I understand that under the current tax credit system, it's still payable if the claimant is overseas for x period of time.
What is this period, is it a period that is only allowed once during the year, is accummulative in some way, and will it change under UC?

Hi, the UC draft regulations (reg 11) sets out a variety of criteria depending on different circumstances....

At present the number of absences permitted vary depending on the reason for leaving the UK and this appears to be replicated in UC.0 -
Thanks for clarifying. For some reason, I thought it was a 3 month term but it looks like it is either 1 to 2 months overseas depending on various factors with a possible extension to 6 months on a few grounds (medical, etc).0
