Paying redundancy money into pension

Labourer

I am about to get redundancy package worth about the same as my
unused tax allowance for my Personal Pension over the past 3 years.
I am over 55.
Am I right in thinking that if I pay all my redundancy payment into my pension pot I could avoid tax and also take out up to 25% of total pension pot tax-free straight away?
