  • Hi

    Today I am
    • Entering online competitions
    • Looking for a passbook ISA (have a web one, too east to take the money out!)
    • Not going anywhere near a shop!
    • Putting some more books on Amazon
    • Looking up local car boot sales that I can go and flog 8 bin bags of clothes on
    • Eat my meals from what my mum already has in her cupboards (rather than treat myself at Asdas)
    • Bagging up all the 5p's 2p's and 1p's I have saved up to take to wherever I open my ISA
    • Using a free day pass to a gym (or might save for tomorrow)

That'll be enough for one day I reckon!

Whilst recycling my own rubbish found 1p in the bin.
Also fished out 2 carrier bags for recycling at Asda

Have family staying with us, they are not very green

Recycled glass and picked up carrier bags people had dumped from recycling their glass so took them to Asda to swap for a bag for life whist doing a good deed.

Brought Boots straighten set for £2.49 instead of £14.99 after my coupons and also 309 points back. Have changed one of my Ebay listings which I don't think will sell.

Brought some stuff off Ebay saving me £3.22 if I was to buy it from the shops.

    Found 5p

Had a McDonalds chicken sandwich using a free coupon for lunch.

Put a £1.38 cheque into my bank account.

Will take back an 20p irn bru bottle for a 20p refund tonight.

    Did piggy click.
    That's all so far...

~ printing all my letters to close my debt accounts (written already)
~ printing out letters 1&2 for reclaiming credit card charges
~ playing with figures to sort out my savings for may
~ hopefully making it a nsd
~ still watching my 50+ items on ebay :rotfl:
  • love this thread as it always makes me feel inspired NOT to spend money and that's a bit of a miracle where I'm concerned!

I walked into town and saved £1 on parking and petrol.
Met friends for coffee and they paid!
Had my lovely top admired by friends who thought it was v. expensive and designer, but actually from Tesco Kids range (age 11-12) reduced to £2. (Okay so, I'm 28 but so what!)
Avoided all the shops and only went to the one I needed
Didn't go to M&S to buy yummy but overpriced ready meal - will use up what's in fridge
Made huge mountain of stuff to ebay, nearly suffocating cat in the process when it collapsed on him
sent off for loads of freebies as recommended on this site
swopped my vastly overpriced gas and electric providers (via moneysupermarket.com for cashback)
went round turning off everything at the wall (after receiving hideous £300 gas and electric bill yesterday as the estimates were wrong)

Not bad for a Saturday! x

Memo to self; I do not need more shoes....::rotfl:

Went to Tescos and actually went round putting things back before I went to the till (first time ever!)
Spent £20 on food shopping for the week.
Defrosted the fridge and cleaned it (had thought about buying a new one but now its fine- just lazy!)
Am having the rest of the yummy chinese curry sauce left over from takeaway for tea with some oven chips instead of using up soemthing "new" from Tesco shop
