If your car gets stolen does your insurance policy get cancelled? When you get a new car do you have to apply for new insurance?

Generally once the policy has paid out for the car then yes it is cancelled as you no longer have that car. However most insurers will do a deal for you to transfer to another car as it keeps you with them.0

You can put your replacement car onto the policy.
Also dont forget if the insurers pay out on a claim for a stolen car, and you are paying monthly, you still are liable for the whole of the premium for the year as they have paid out a claim. So it makes more sense to put your replacemen t car onto the policy as you have to pay for the whole year anyway!Baby Ice arrived 17th April 2011. Tired.com! :j0
