Switch Confirmation Email (Virgin media) went to SPAM from Energyhelpline switch site
Options
It seems that Virgin Media set their SPAM filter so emails from energyhelpline.com customer services go to SPAM. Energy helpline also do Telecom switches. So when you sign up for a Switch the email confirming its been registered goes in the SPAM box. I rung Energy helpline up and they said its happening a lot at the moment.
So if you are switching and your email ISP happens to be Virgin Media then check SPAM box on your email account.

It's you that sets the spam filter strength, not VM...No free lunch, and no free laptop0

None of my other good emails have gone to SPAM just the one from energy helpline. Seems a bit odd to me. Maybe VM turned up the wick on their SPAM filter. But I suppose I can't blame VM for it but energy helpline person said many people lately with VM email addresses didn't get their confirmation email. I never fiddled with the VM SPAM settings and I never had any issues to date.0

I undestood VM uses the Google spam filtering technology.
The user can, of course, modify this or even turn it off completely ... but in the absence of doing anything like this, then the basic Google spam filtering technology default is the starting point.
