Warning: Emma's Diary selling personal contact info

I use the latest leaflet that ignored my "no junk mail" sign to get my bogus phone numbers from - I think of it as a karmic wheel of spam.0

Don't just make up a number, you could be giving a genuine number that belongs to someone who will then be bombarded with calls.
Now, using one that belongs to another spamming company ...

I would recommend using the telephone number that can be found here http://www.192.com/atoz/business/bourne-end-sl8/marketing-consultants/lifecycle-marketing-mother-baby-ltd/41bc12fc2974fc7dcb2599f08743dc2a2a8cfd04/ml/0

I have experienced this too.... this is terrible.
Why do doctors recommend this - they were not able to help me when I was trying to get pregnant but they are happy to give me rubish information to get spammed with useless calls0 -

Comission? Not that they get this of course because they are fine pillars of the community who dont play golf all day long"If you no longer go for a gap, you are no longer a racing driver" - Ayrton Senna0 -
I'm a long time reader of the forums but this is the first time I've ever written.
I had problems with mail scams (a certain publishing warehouse with Disney books). The first letter was saying how we'd signed up for free books (no) and that they'd be coming soon, along with a bookcase. If we wanted the rest of the books they were something like £9 each, even though you could pick the self same books in high street book shops for about £3 each.
Anyway, the bottom line, from searching plenty of different forums, was that it related back to the Bounty packs. But the number of emails/calls/mail that I've had that relate to Emma's Diary and/or the Bounty packs is ridiculous - especially in the first weeks after having a baby.
I would never ever sign up to any of these again, it's just not worth it.0 -
Seems a real shame that they are doing this without consent as the website does have useful info and support. Pity it comes at the price of your privacy. I have emailed Emmas Diary and will let you know what they say, if they bother to respond at all. Will also be asking my GP why she recommended them and what it has lead to. Hopefully she'll not do this again.0

If you set up an account, go back in, and remove all your contact details. Put in their number if they force you to have one.
Send them a complaint email, stating that you have selected the 'no third parties' option on marketing, but are now receiving spam and phone calls relating to companies who are openly confirming they were given your details by Emma's diary. Explain that you would like to have all your contact details removed from all of their mailing lists, records, email lists, phone lists and formally withdraw any right, implied or explicit, for them to continue passing on your details. Note that you are making a formal complaint to the ICO regarding the borderline harassment your gf is getting by telephone, and request that they write to you confirming that all the details have been withdrawn in full and will not be passed on to anyone.
If anyone else calls, tell them firmly that you do not require their services and they should also remove your details. If the phone has a blocking service, use it. Pass on the cold caller details to your mobile phone provider and they can block them.
Scumbags. I use 07941000000 for everything, but I rather like the idea of using their own numbers in future. Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....

Thanks Bargainbetty, I have emailed them with a complaint so hopefully they will respond. I will definately use a premium rate number in future for any sites asking for my details.0

No response from these scoundrels and the unsolicited calls continue. Please if you are thinking of signing up give false details or find an alternative site, there are many out there. As this site requests a due date I can only assume that we will get even more calls around that time, a time when we will need peace not harassmant. So angry with them, and feel so let down by them.0
