I need to develope a small website...Ideas?

Options
I need to develope a small website to sell paintings. I'd like to take orders via credit card, and https://www.2checkout.com would seem to offer a good way of doing this.

Has anyone any experience of what might be the best way of doing this? Are there any sites that offer development tools that are easy to use, so that I could do it myself? Would it be better to outsource the whole project to tender on the Ebay related site? Or does anyone have any other suggestions?

If the paintings are your own & you need to get them shown then the important thing is the website & they way the paintings are displayed. If Someone likes the picture and wants it they will pay by whatever means offered, but how many people are going to buy from a picture on a screen. I know of at least one artist that does this but only accepts checque or cash & he has had to send paintings out for viewing ( with a deposit) which works quite well as the buyer has got used to the painting, found somewhere for it & decides to buy.
