tax credits

I'm sure i have asked this on here before, but now cant find it........


can someone please tell me what the working hours required are, for all the various tax credits???

    You mean what's the minimum you need to work to qualify?

  • Someone will correct me if I'm wrong.. but I'm sure it is:

    WTC - Single person over 25: 30hrs.
    W&CTC - Single parent: 16hrs min.
    W&CTC - Couple with child/ren: 24hrs, with one doing 16 min.

    Single person no children/disabilities - 30 hours
    Single person with disabilities - 16 hours
    Couple children no disabilities - 24 hours between with 1 person doing at least 16
    Single parent - 16 hours

    what about a couple claiming jsa, no children, how many hours can one work and get tax credits

    You can only work up to 15 hours and still claim JSA, and you need 30 hours for WTC so you cannot claim both
