DIP switch help! bathroom extractor Fan (Airflow QT120HT)

Has anyone ever had one of these? The thing seems to have a mind of it's own!
I'm sure it's installed correctly, with the switched live in the right place but I keep fiddling with the settings and it either seems to be on all the time, or just randomly...not with the light or with the humidity.
It's all controlled by DIP switches but the instructions on page 5 of the PDF below, seem simple at a glance but don't actually make any sense (to me).

I want it to come on with the light, with an over-run (12 mins) and active humidistat (set for the most humid ambient environment). By switching DIP 6, it seems that either the Timer or the Humidistat will be disabled?
Can anyone help?

You are correct. You can enable timed over-run, OR humidistat operation but not both. The fan is controlled EITHER by timer, or by the humidistat, you can't set an amount of time that the humidstat works for as the room may still be humid when it turns off. Timer AND humidstat enabled would mean a conflict as to which is in control...
Leave it set to humidistat if condensation is a big problem for that room, else set it to timer.0 -
Right, ok - I wanted to enable both. At the moment it never comes on! I think it must be set to enable the humidistat but I've not set the sensitivity high enough.

Thought I'd give an update on this, in case anyone else buys this fan and searches the forum.
Turns out, you can enable both the timer and the humidity sensor. In the end, I put all the switches back to the factory setting (as per the SS 920 diagram in the manual, not the 'on/off' table in the same box). It now works according to the factory setting.
I'm none the wiser as to how these DIP switches work and I've called the Tech help line twice and it went to Voicemail. The manual on the Airflow website is slightly different to the one I got out of the box so I'm not overly confident that either are completely reliable.0
