Moving out after a break up - help!

I have just split up with my partner of 4 years who I rent a flat with. It's been decided that he will remain living there and I'll be the one to move out. As we entered into this together and pay all our bills together I have no idea where to start in regards to removing myself from everything.
Can I just tell our letting agent I'm moving out and simply remove my name from the tenancy agreement etc?
We have a bank account set up in both our names where all our bills are paid by direct debit - again, can I just remove my name from the account?
Our electricity supplier has all my personal details, not my partners as I was the one who set everything up. Can they simply swap my details for his?
What about our car insurance? I'm named as the main driver where as he's the second driver even though the car belongs to him. What will happen if I want to remove myself from this?
I'm just so confused about where to start. I never expected to be in this position and am worried of the consequences should I handle any of this incorrectly. Please help!

Flat - you will still be bound by the tenancy agreement even if you move out. The letting agent may not be happy to remove your name as that only then leaves one person responsible for the rent. How long is the contract? Until your name is removed, you will be liable for the rent if your ex doesn't pay - even if you no longer live there. If the LA will not remove your name then you will be liable until the end of the contract... you may have to give formal notice and that may get messy with your ex... it all depends on whether the LA / landlord is happy for just your ex to take on liability.
Utilities - call them all and tell them you have left the property. They will need to organise a final bill and then set up a new account just for your ex.
Car insurance - why were you down as the main driver anyway? As you no longer have the use of the car, and the insurance is in your name, you need to cancel the policy BUT inform you ex before you do that to give him time to get his own policy in place.:hello:0
