Advice on Haggling for A used car
Hi
Im currently selling my Fabia VRS to buy an Octavia Sport. A local dealer has a sport up for £15K done 10K miles on a 56 plate. My car's guide price is £8K according to all the guides however it also has leather seats. I emailed the garage the beginning of the month and they offered £8600 for mine leaving £6400 to pay. I have left it until now the end of the month to go and try and get a better deal. The Octavia is overpriced other cars on Skoda website are around £14K with less miles. I really only wanna spend £5K plus my car. Do you think this is acheivable or am I just dreaming? I supose alot depends on there sales the only thing Ive noticed is they still have alot of cars on the forecourt. Any tips on getting my deal should I just come out right with my offer and then leave it at that?
Thanks for any advice.

Are we talking petrol or diesel on the sport?
The reason I ask,is because I have just spotted 2 diesel sport's on the Auto Trader website.1 is an 05 plate with 24,680 miles on for £11.495,and the other is a 55 plate with 22,936 miles for £13,999.
The first one is in Colne in Lancashire, the other in York,so if you are prepared to travel for the right deal, and any of these are the car you want, and they're near you, then they may fit your bill.
