You didn't mention how much this sysytem costs. Would be useful to know the price and see if it's worth the money.0

If your just doing general stuff and nothing that is processor hungry then I suppose it will be ok. The Celeron isn't a great processor (thats prob why it's so cheap). Hard drive capacity is resonable but not great compared to current drive capacities available. If your doing stuff such as photo editing then the files can be rather large when saved in their raw BMP format, etc.
The V92 modem wouldnt be much use unless your using dial up, so you may find you need an ADSL modem if you havent allready got one. You may want to consider future upgrades such as DVD burner and card readers for multimedia cards, etc, may need the card reader if your editing photos from dig cameras and CD's dont store as many raw images as DVD's can.0 -

Thanks guys, I went ahaead and bought it. I thinks its a great price! Will be better than my annoying emachine, dont anyone even think of getting one of them!
I wont need the modem as I am on cable broadband, but handy to have one in case I need to dial up. Always save my pics as jpegs anyway so thats no prob! and I always have celeron, I rate them!Official member of the BB B*tches club. no 2 B*tch.

I suggest getting a better dell, you can pick up a gen 4 machine for about £800 on outlet, these are the best machines for power. Ive got a 8400 and a gen 4 machine in my office and they are both kick !!!!!! machines to have. They both have P4 HT tech that means that you get 2 processors etc. 8400 case are the best as they open up in half.
that makes it easy to add new parts to your machine. The gen 4 machine doesnt fdo this but I wouldnt care with the power that it gives you.
Kind Regards
