A bit of technical advice need here, please. I am looking to buy a new Tower. I do not need to change the monitor or keyboard.
Can you tell me if this is a good deal? I don't play games much – only needed for word processing, music, videos, internet, emailing. Not sure what the best size is in terms of Memory these days.
The spec of the Lenovo (£347.00 - is this a good price) I am looking at is:
Windows 7 Professional 64
Intel HD Graphics (Integrated)
4GB PC3 – 12800 DDR3 SDRAM 1600MHz
500GB 7200rpm Hard drive
DVD recordable.

Based on what you've said the machine should be able to cope with that (although I assume by videos you don't mean HD BluRays and the like). You don't mention what processor is in the machine?
4GB RAM is Okay for 64 bit Windows 7, 6GB+ will give you sharper performance depending on other components.
Beware it is not bogged down with a bunch of preinstalled rubbish as most are nowadays to subsidise them a bit and earn extra revenue.0 -
