Eon Price Change Date check your reading!

Eons prices increase on the 17th of January. Can I force them to issue a bill on the 17th for energy used upto the 17th?
I think I have worked out (can someone confirm) that if they send me a bill based on an estimated reading for this quarter, and I have used more energy, but that that does not get corrected till the next quarter then I will pay the new price for energy used before the price increase.
If they are increasing the price why dont they sent bills out upto that date and start again afterwards at the new price.?

For Eon to send out a bill on the same day to every customer they have on expiring tariffs, would probably overload their computers

However there is nothing to stop you taking your own Meter readings on 17th of Jan, then if their estimate is adrift to your disadvantage, you give them your readings and ask for a new bill

    Hi Sandybanks

You can have a bill whenever you wish.

If you call us on the day with meter readings, we'll be happy to issue a bill to these.

Alternatively, if you've registered with our website, you can issue one yourself through the Real Time Billing facility on there. Just pop on the readings, click 'Request New Bill' and a new bill will be ready to view within 24 hours.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you need any more details.

As Malc says. I used to do this every time.

Never associate with idiots on their own level, because, being an intelligent man, you'll try to deal with them on their level - and on their level they'll beat you every time.

Being hated by idiots is the price you pay for not being one of them.
