Hi,
Sorry if this is in the wrong place peeps, but this is my first post!
I have unfortunately been diagnosed with MS for over 5 years now.
It is relapsing remitting and have now applied for DLA and hoping to get some kind of component!
I was just wondering if i am able to apply for a grant or help to get a car as really i need an automatic as my whole left side is affected, whether i am relapsing or not! I am not expecting the higher rate of mobility dla as it is an on off illness. But was just looking to see if anyone knows where i could get information or if there are any grants about any more!
Thanks
Gem

Hi,I too have ms but primary progressive ,I got high rate mobility.I had to appeal which took a year to hear.I would get welfare rights on the case,I also had a doctor do a home visit.Good luck0

As echoed by the others in this thread, there is low, medium and high rate mobility components. Only the high rate will get you a mobility car and you have to be pretty bad to get that.0
