Switch the Scottish Power via MoneySuperMkt

I received an email contact telling me they were told my consumption was. I don't know where that figure came from and I've told them it was way too high - almost twice the amount.
My main concern is how long I've got to cancel the process, does anyone know (also got an email today that its progressed onto stage two - contacting my current supplier)?

I think SP gives you a 12-day cooling-off period.My main concern is how long I've got to cancel the process, does anyone know (also got an email today that its progressed onto stage two - contacting my current supplier)?
Edit
From <SP General Ts&Cs>
So that's 14 days from the date of your application to switch. I'm sure I've seen 12 days somewhere - might be a good idea to check the <Ts&Cs> for your particular tariff to make sure. If they have contacted your current supplier, it might be too late. You could try asking your current supplier to object to the transfer but you'll need to be quick.Cancellation Period
the period beginning with the date on which you entered into the Agreement with us and ending on the date which is 14 days after (but not including) that date;
Edit 2
If you're too late to prevent the switch then lodge a formal (written) complaint about the DD and ask them to justify their figure and provide the source of any information they have used to set it.
If you get no joy after 8 weeks you can refer the complaint to the Ombudsman: Energy.

yes - it all just seems like delaying tactics so that you've no real consumer protection.
Suppose this might serve as a lesson to anyone else considering switching to ScotPower.
I'll see it they reply by tomorrow - if this is how they treat potential new customers what's it going to be like as one in their net?0 -
I got an email response saying that they've looked into how much I had been paying and that they agree to set my DD to that amount.
Hopefully this is resolved.
