Overseas Buyer

I have just had an auction end, and the buyer is from overseas. I did state UK only on my auction. She has written asking for postage costs to be sent. I don't want to send overseas - I've done it twice before and both times the items was "not received" so I don't want the hassle.

I can easily tell her 'sorry - the auction was UK only' but what happens about the fees to Ebay? How would I get those refunded?

Many thanks in advance for the help!

You could ship it abroad, so long as you use one of the carriers that tend not to subcontract out the shipment, and keep it in house so that it is tracked to the destination.

    ie: FedEx, UPS.

Obviously what ever postage increase there is, would have to be passed onto your buyer, so long as they agree. If they don't, then tell them it was a UK only auction, and contact E.Bay and tell them such.
That's my mutt in the picture above.

It is not good enough to just put in your listing UK only. You also have to set this up in your seller preferences, which will then block any overseas bids.

When I want UK only bidders I enter an amount for UK postage and instead of entering an amount for outside the UK I make sure it says "No International Postage". Would this alone stop overseas people from being able to bid?

No it wouldn't , you need to also have your seller setting showing that buyers in countries you don't ship to are excluded.
