National Express is offering a million £10 seats one way meaning they should be guaranteed and generally available to the public.

For over 60s and children under 16 the seats are £5 each. It may be possible to find it even cheaper with the following (less of them though so not definitely available).

National Express itself promotes £1 funfares on its website here.

If you can't grab one of them then there's always Megabus and Easybus.

Many journeys are cheaper than £10 each way anyway so make sure you check.
  • Beware on the National Express Deal.
I booked a trip for my mother. Outbound a fiver as promised; the return was £13.60 because Nat Ex don't operate the entire return journey themselves.
and the Ads say "No Catches".

I have done a few of these £1 deals and they are great.

I did notice though each time I booked two £1 tickets and then went back to the site there were no more £1 tickets left and the tickets were then £5, I think they only do 2 at £1 per trip.

what annoys me a bit about these kinds of deals is that they rarely have an extra discount for having a coachcard, so you have paid for a coachcard and then it's often cheaper not to use it!
