I've done the lovefilm trial, their number is on the website. Just give them a ring a week before end of trial (to allow time to return final rental). I've found it easy enough to cancel.

I'm sure I cancelled online in the 'my account' (or similar) section of their website, therefore no potential to be persuaded to stay!
I think the cashback site normally states how long you need to be a member for and sometimes how many dvds you need to have.
