Sorry if this is in the wrong place but I have finally beat my debt.
I had 24k worth of debt which I have paid all off, however Thursday the last default dropped off my file.
In total I had 7 defaults, 2 late payments and a CCJ
A little tip that may help some people. I had an account that was settled in 2011 that I had late payments on, which would have stayed on until 2017 which after many phone calls and letters I got them to agree to add a default to the file when I first set up the payment plan which was August 2006 so this meant that when they done this in November the account disappeared.
I also had a Natwest account that they didnt put into default until 02/2009 when I first got into trouble in 01/2007. With great help from this forum I was able to get them to change the date of default to when I got into trouble which was a massive relief for me.
I know I dont post on these forums much but believe me at the start it helped me massively and also along the way. I thought the day would never come when I would be debt free, but believe me, it will NEVER happen again after all I have been through. I am recently married to the most wonderful and understanding Woman and I feel now we can start on with the rest of our lives and getting our first house together.

Be very interested to hear your methods of getting the default moved. Trying with Halifax to get them to move a default back two years.0
