Thx for this. I am going to the Dagenham Asda tomorrow, to collect a Canon Powershot A430 digital camera (from another MSE link yesterday) £40 - cheapest elsewhere i could find was £68 - so I can pick up a curry whilst I am there - two bargains together - great.:T

Can anyone recommend it for taste - other than price - don't fancy curried rubber even at that price!:D

Essex Maid, I don't think the others on here have ever had an Asda curry before!! You are lucky if you get three pieces of meat in it, and the sauce is very watery and not a lot of flavour.

Stick to Waitrose curriy ready meals if you want the best flavour :D

You must have a tight !!!!! working behind the counter at your Asda.

I have these curries every week and always get plenty of meat and the sauce is definately not watery. I dislike going to Asda but I make an exception for these curries.

You obviously aren't 'doing' it right, then. I always engage the ladies (not being sexist, never any blokes serving on this counter in my local) in a bit of friendly banter whilst they are dishing up and invariably get LOADS of meat pieces in the cartons. There's a technique to it, in other words. Don't just stand there like a dummy, get involved, man. :D

I can confirm this method also works on the pizza counter! ;)

Have to agree - its rubbery

Thought it was their Chinese range that was rubbery.:rotfl:
One hundred years from now it won't matter what kind of car I drove, what kind of house I lived in, how much money I had in the bank, nor what my clothes looked like but the world may be a little better because, I was important in the life of a child.
