Ocado every time for me. Outstanding customer service, excellent website, reviews by customers of food and goods (very helpful).

At the moment they price match a range of foods with Tesco and most weeks I get a discount voucher for the difference if Tesco goods would have been cheaper.

I have a delivery pass for £9.99 per month, this allows me as many £40 deliveries as I require. This is great as sometimes I have two each week.

  • Im a huge Ocado fan.

Have used Sains, and Tesco before, but neither of them were much use.

Ocado however; I am forever getting money off things from them, they have a fab range of items, never had a subsitute, and their delivery drivers have (so far) all been lovely. Friendly, polite and chatty.

Plenty of vouchers around for first shop:cool:

Do you get the voucher automatically?
  • I have to say we've been using Tesco for a while and they've always been brilliant. I did have one odd substitution of Lemon floor cleaner instead of Lemon squash but it's VERY rare I get subs for anything in general. I must admit I pay very little attention to the use by dates on things as we mainly get meat which I split into smaller servings and freeze or I cook with it within a day ot wo and freeze the results) and stuff like cat litter and cleaning products etc. I do a seperate shop for fresh bread/milk/veggies from our local greengrocer who is fabby :)
OP although they should all conform to a certain standard I think it can very much depend on where you live. We've treid Tesco and Sainsbury and Sainsbury were appaulling here, however my Mum who lives about 150 miles away gets brilliant service from her sainsburys but find tesco and asda appaulling. :(
Might be worth trying a few smaller shops with some of the ones in your area to see which you think is the best service.
Everyone has a dark side... apparently mine is called Harold?!?
  • If anyone needs convinced on Ocado, I live in Somerset we had main roads closed near us all day yesterday, a chunk of the M4 that the main lorry delivering to the depot was also closed and yet Ocado not only delivered but they were 20 mins early!!

  • For those still debating. We have been really impressed this week by both ocado and Abel and Cole. Only started shopping with the just before xmas as we wanted to avoid the crowds and oh sits in car waiting and this time of the year its a bit too cold. Another reason was to shop more organically.
Ocado, All deliveries on time or early (phones me up to check first and make sure its ok) Only one substitution in 7 orders and brilliant cs and lovely drivers.
Abel and cole delivered this morning in freezing fog and the roads must have been v icy, certainly our estate is like a rink. Usually comes about 5am and leaves it on the door step, this morning it was at 5.34. After reading about cancelled deliveries by other companies I feel very lucky and impressed so far. A nice little bonus with Abel and Cole are the freebies the pop in from time to time. So far in 6 wks free veg box, marmalade, olive oil, orange juice, yoghurt, and calendar x 2.:D

rufydoofyM freebie wise, we've had 4 eggs, a mini mince pie and a litre of milk from Abel & Cole plus a bottle of wine after a mistake. From Ocado we've had two samples of toothpaste and a Red magazine. Never ever had anything from Sainsbury's, Tesco, ASDA, Foodari and Waitrose.
  • Ocado dish out red wine as freebies too :) Had some soft laughing cow blue cheese too and chocolates :)
