Do women flirt with men they have no interest in?

It has nothing to do with one sex being weaker. And has everything to do with one sex projecting their own responses upon the other. Some women are happy to exploit that response for their own ends, subconsciously or otherwise, and others aren't. Or maybe aren't quite so good at it.0

There's nothing worse than flirty women trying to use that to get some sap to do what she wants. An old workmate and I used to really take the mickey out of woman in our old work who did that. It was really sad watching these guys running around her in the hope of getting their end away.
Although we may have pushed it too far when we got her to eat a sheet of A4 paper!0 -

... I could go on...
Example: when I was single and living on my own I was poor. Not just 'should turn the heating off' poor, I mean, one pack of super noodles to last a couple of days.
Went for a drink with some guy. Not the best looking. Asked me if I was hungry. Said yes. Brought me a 3 course meal. Yum! Never spoke to him again.
Did I feel good about it? No.
Would I do it again? Yep. If in a similar situation.
Another example: guy in local garage fancies the pants off me. Unfortunately he looks like that guy from the goonies.
When I take the car to have something done, if I spend 30 minutes flirting with him, he'll do things for free such as a oil change, new brake pads etc. also knocked me £30 off the MOT cost!
Men are easily led by women they find attractive. A friend of mine works on babestation and earns £800 per week for jumping up and down in a bra talking to some guy who's enjoying himself.
When was the last time you heard about a woman paying £2 a minute to talk to someone because their hot?
I'm not into using men, BUT if they don't have the common sense to see something for what it is, I certainly don't mind teaching them
The best one so far has been standing in waterstones, flirting with the assistant and him actually getting his bank card out and paying for the book for me.
Maybe men are just more generous :rotfl:
I always used to think that if men are dishonourable enough to pay for my dinner / buy me something ONLY because they want to get their end away then that perfectly justifies me having said dinner/gift and then saying 'see ya later'.0 -
"Unattractive" is not the same as "uninterested in pursuing a relationship with". I think few women would flirt with somebody they found unattractive, but they might well flirt with somebody who they liked the look of but wouldn't actually want to go out with.0

Really? I flirt with lots of blokes - some of them nice old codgers I encounter at work. They usually respond in kind. It's just a conversational game.0 -
I am rubbish at flirting, always have been.
However I have been accused of flirting with another woman's husband, it was a group night out and the conversation was really boring. Anyway the bloke next to me said "and I'm missing Voyager for this". Cue an in-depth conversation on the merits of Voyager against Enterprise, broken up by the wife interrupting us and saying "when you are quite finished with my husband I would like him to take me home" I was gob-smacked, my interest was in conversing with a fellow Trekkie not in shagging him!0 -
I've been accused of being a flirt lots of times by friends and men - I'm chatty and friendly and not brilliant at small talk so usually end up with a proper conversation which is then taken the wrong way! (its not intentional) Plus if you are having a chat with someone who is married I usually presume they are not 'looking' - evidence has shown me I am bit naive sometimes! lolLight Bulb Moment - 11th Nov 2004 - Debt Free Day - 25th Mar 2011 :j0

Hey i know that on initial reading it doesnt sound too good but bear with me please Ms Independent. I have total respect for all women and it would be a cold day in hell before i would seek to force my attentions on any woman. As for sex, well I have had more than my share and it isnt a priority. I am more than happy to spend an evening out doing something or other, have a meal,a drink and simply enjoy the company. There is no hidden agenda and i would not be asking myself in for "coffee". In short,im just not bothered (any more) and so i can conduct any such activities on a level playing field where there are no agendas either way. What a breath of fresh air i say...Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0 -

I appreciate Coinx's candour and honesty and completely agree. some men are such saps and slaves to their underpants.
I wouldnt pay for a meal for a lady as it would be an unequal arrangement. Why would i/should i? I may do if it were a friend and i knew she was skint but i certainly wouldnt be seeking to lay her as payment in kind. That would be prostitution. Again,i may well pay if it was someone who i had an unspoken understanding with and knew they would simply automatically pay next time.Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). 2. If so, would a woman flirt meaninglessly with a man they think unattractive?
3. How can you tell the difference between flirting for fun and actual attraction?
1. Though flirting is something that is natural between people, some people flirt more than others. People also differ in what they think us appropriate. You can find someone ATTRACTIVE and not be INTERESTED in more...hence you could flirt without wanting to take it more.
2. I dunno. It would depend on the girl. Some could do it harmlessly and some just to tease, but it depends on the person.
3. I think you know if it's genuine. Women tend to touch a guy they like (like on the arm), giggle and make eye contact. That's what I notice anyway in other girls. When I flirt I get shy apparently. My boyfriend said I went shy and blushed a lot.0
