Could anyone give me some advice regarding the guideline/budget. I'm struggling I've read through it but I think I'm so stressed I just don't get it!
When it says extra child does it mean that amount for each child you have or that amount for all your children?
Please don't think I'm stupid. I just never thought I would ever be thinking of an IVA or DMP.
I've worked out that when I lose my job in a few weeks that based on my husbands basic wage we wouldn't even manage to cover the CFCs budget let alone pay our mortgage and secured loan.
I don't even know if I'm posting this in the right place

If you're talking about the common financial statement guidelines then the first figure is for 1 adult, then if there is any additional adults you add on the extra adult figure, then for EACH child you add on the child figure.
CCCS (now StepChange) have their own guidelines which are slightly different but only because they split it all up. if you go through their thing on their website (https://www.stepchange.org) you put in numbers of adults and kids to start with, then any guideline figures it shows you all the way through are for the whole family. If you get stuck I think they have online and telephone support0 -
Thank you I'll try thatOnly the Mortgage to go!!!0

CFS figures are only available to those working in the industry I'm afraid.
Even the latest 2013 Stepchange budget guidelines are not publically available. I’ve come across a link to the 2012 guidelines though (you will need a Gmail account to view this):

It is well worth a read, as it covers every form of expenditure, right the way down to allowances for hairdressing, kid's school dinners, meals at work, even hobbies etc.0 -
Aren't CCCS guidelines only relevant to IVA's?0

Step Change's guidelines are used in all their advice appointments. They dont use CFS as they separate everything out (some love it, some hate it, no doubt they may contribute to this thread...)0 -

Can I ask a daft question please?....the figures in the CCCS guidelines, are they weekly or monthly allowances? They are monthly I'm sure, but just double checking.
Thank you!0 -

Thank you!
Calender Monthly (week X 52 /12 and not week X4). Most of the big advice charities work this way0
