Possibility of redundancy

This is probably a really stupid question, the company im working for have recetly cut everyones hours due to a slow down in the work.
Im currently only a part time worker (16 hours a week), If I was made redundant can I go onto jobseekers? or do I need to be working more hours?
Its not def yet but im trying to find out as much as I can just incase it happens
