Hi guys!:hello:
Hope everyone is well.;)
I don't know what the problem is with computer but I need some help in idiot speak please.:o
It started a couple of weeks ago, the computer has gotten slower and slower - sometimes now over 10 mins just to get online. This was a new computer, bought this year from Currys, running pre-installed Vista, Packard Bell, Norton's Protection Centre etc.
In the last week, when I've been on MSE and posting with emoticons in a message, all the lines start to repeat down the page, it flashes black and on and off and the toolbars only become visible for a second if I hover the cursor over them. And it's just started to freeze up too.:o
In addition, last night I tried to make sure I'd got all Vista's protection up and running, and turned on Dr.Spycheck and then it listed some infections rated at low risk, which I put on the global block to.
I've come back online this afternoon, (finally! after this morning's session was too long-winded and frustrated), to find an orange box titled 'Interactive Services Dialogue Detection.' It says something 'has asked Runtime to terminate in an unusual way.'
I click on 'see message' part and get this appear...

There's nothing been put in quarantine.
The computer is very slow and constantly grumbling in the background.
I also get a message saying that file backup has been stopped.
And for the icing on the cake, I can't get it to do System Restore!!! Always comes back saying 'was unable to restore' no matter which date I put in, right from when I had it I believe.
I would deeply appreciate some advice from the experts guys:T before either the machine or I meet an untimely end!
Thank you in advance. Off to run a full scan.:o
Much Love,
Tiff xxx
