  • i think you will be just fine with your budget and your day will be really special no matter what cos its your wedding day :-)

if there is anybody close to u that u can think of to help with making the cake, has a nice car u can use for transport, has a decent set of music speaker, do your hair & make up, has a nice camera/video. rope in friends of friends/partners if they dont mind, to do the photos & a video. people usually love to help!

As for decorations look out for any hearts/romantic stuff around valentines as pound shop can a few nice bits like a 2 pack of foil heart centre pieces last year. In some of them they even have wedding invites which for £1 are good! and table crystals are like 99p on ebay in various colours, u dont need loads of packs either and they just jazz your tables up. hope this help :-)

  • There was a superscrimpers wedding episode on channel4 last year, if you search on the on demand website you might be able to watch it and get some tips?
  • My mum has said she will sort a cake out as my nephews father in law decorates ake so shes going to buy an iced ake and ask him to decorate it, i am borrowing my mums flowers....so thats something borrowed i guess.....and really tempted to look into the deorations that were pictured. As i recently lost my step father to cancer and my H2B has lost his grandparents we are wanting to put candles out at the reception in memory of them? where would the cheapest place to get these? if it works out to expensive its no problem as we know that our loved ones will be with us on the day x

before you go and buy any candles you will need to check with your venue that they allow them....sadly many places now dont allow them on the grounds of health and safety....even if they are going to be used in memorum..

Ebay is a really good place to get personalised memory pillar type candles if you are going to use them

If you arnt able to use candles then maybe a nice pic of the people you are remembering next to your cake might be something to consider....
