A simple unlocked smartphone?
Hi,
My Mum got a 24 month contract for a Blackberry with T-Mobile but hates the Blackberry because of the tiny buttons. She would like to have a smart phone so she can Google and email easily etc but thinks a touchscreen with big on screen buttons might suit better. (My LG P500
She'd also like it to have a camera, but it can be a really rubbish one.
What's a good value smart phone nowadays?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated, at the minute she's wasting her contract and using her old PAYG brick.
I did advise her to ask T-Mobile and see if they could offer her a discount on a new phone but they said it wasn't possible. Just thought I'd mention it incase anyone knows of a different policy.

In fact as I'm having a quick Google I see you can now get "symbian" phones which would be a good match - she is happy using the old style buttons, just wants to have features like Hotmail etc.
And Maps as well would be very handy.I love surprises!0 -
Thanks, at the minute I'm not worried too much about cost and getting a cheap cheap phone - she'd rather pay an extra £50 and get one that's very simple to use and reliable.
I'm liking the look of the Nokia Asha 300 as that seems to be a nice mix of old and new?
And the HTC Desire C seems like a good choice too.I love surprises!0 -
Huawei g300 is a better phone for about the same price:And the HTC Desire C seems like a good choice too.
