Webcam Recommendation Please

Hi all,

I've just started using MS messeger and Yahoo! messenger to keep in contact with my far flung relatives. My web cam pic looks rubbish compared to theirs'.
So, can anyone recommend a decent web cam for my desk top? I'll need one for my laptop too......

You will need to download the PC drivers for the Eye Toy since it's usually supplied with Playstation software only. I can't remember the site but it was easy enough to find on google.

Thnks..this is helpful..coz i was u just going to buy a new webcam,.now i just have to borrow my son's eyetoy...didn't realise i have a bit of technical mind..hehehe

i have been trying to connect my eyetoy for weeks, I have got the software saved on computer. When I plug eyetoy in nothing happens. So I go to add new hardware wizard and go through that process and it ends up saying error code!

i dont any cam to reccommend, but i know which one to stay clear off. the cheapo ANC webcam i was given to try, was absolute rubbish. the quality was appalling.

Anything by Creative is worth looking at.

I've always used them and had no trouble at all. Solidly built and reliable. Drivers easily updated if needed, and obtained if lost.

Some webcams etc require the drivers to be installed before the hardware is plugged in.

i got a error code when i did it but it still worked when i went on msn
