McDonald's happy meals book redeem

Firstly I fully support McDonald's swapping the toys to books, I think it's a great idea.


However when I checked the website today you in fact get a token to redeem a book for £1 at whsmiths

I do not have a whsmiths local to me so the fact that my son no longer gets a toy or a book while at his occasional trip to McDonald's, has totally spoilt it for him and me

Why don't they have the books in McDonald's :mad::mad::mad:

Probably because you have to pay an extra quid for the book. I doubt they want to start selling books in McDonald's.

you get the books in the happy meals 6 to collect the pound book in whsmith is always with happy meals box which retails at 3.99 but you get it for a pound week 1 books are oceans and earth week 2 stars and planet rainforest week 3 arctic antarctica and big cats week 4 and 5 all books available hope this helps you

Whilst I think this is a fab idea my inner child is gutted that she won't get a toy anymore

I love the odd Happy Meal, just a nice size for me and the toy was always fun. I can't play with books. Boooo!!
