I have agreed to take part in the 26 mile moon walk for breast cancer in Edinburgh with a friend for breast cancer on the evening of the 16th on june basically we all walk round a 26 mile route in decorated bras at night round the city its a bit silly but fun . well I was so concentrating on the training I didnt think about getting to the start and have only just looked at the cost of the train from birmingham to edingburgh its whopping £51 going up on the 16th June and about £ 130 to come back on the Sunday. I know I look like a mug but where is the best place to start to bring it done a bit . Help

I was searching for the cheapest decent way to get to dundee from brum the other day... and in the end bought a flight from birmingham to edinburgh and back for £40.03 .. yes, return. Take a look at bmibaby, i'm flying early so that probably helps but my flights were 8p each plus taxes. This would be great for you.0

Flying should be cheaper than that

I don't know where you are looking for those fares but they are way over the odds even if they are for two people.
Currently it's £17 each on the 0800 from Birmingham and £25 each to return on the 1137 from Edinburgh. You can come back first class for £35 each...
Any of the ticket web sites should give you those fares.0
